i’ve witnessed the union square pillow fight, danced for a dance blog the middle of times square, and run next to slingshot man during the marathon. but never have i observed a spectacle quite like this.
after reading this wsj article last week about duke riley’s event at the queens museum of art, titled ‘those about to die salute you,’ i was intrigued. a naval battle scene in flushing meadows? i couldn’t imagine it. so i had to see it for myself. toga and all.
